Team Hazy Player Profile

ROOTS

Piqua, Ohio
I love backhand hyzer flips, the angle control and understability have to line up just right for a solid shot and adds another layer to the game
I'm so left handed it's to a fault, nowhere close to ambidextrous

Player Notes

Biggest Leap Last Season
As a lefty I've worked on my forehand for a few years now to combat those right handed courses and I am getting pretty comfortable with it now
Hard Lesson Learned
High speed discs don't equal distance. Some of my best and longest throws have been with 9 speeds
Biggest Accomplishment
My only rated tournament win was blind on a course and it rained the whole day. Won after a 4 hole playoff!
Advice For First Tournament
Bring extra socks and clothes in case weather changes or it's a damp day, bring some snacks for the long rounds
Off The Course
I'm so left handed it's to a fault, nowhere close to ambidextrous
Must-Have Disc
Detour

Play Style

Warmup Routine
At my local course there's a basket about 120 feet away from the practice basket, I like emptying my putters and mids to that basket, putt and then throw back to practice basket. Calm way to get the arm loose
After A Great Round
Usually it's Skyline time if there's one around!
After A Tough Round
I go back and check my disc decisions and see if it was a bad throw or bad choice. I try to go back to basics, once those are solid again things will get better

Course & Goals

Must-Play Course
I still have a ton on my wish list but I'd have to say Idlewild. Long 24 holes there makes you use every shot and manage fatigue on an awesome track
Can’t-Miss Events
Any Hazy tournament! But my most anticipated tournament of the year is the Hazy BYOP, 600 players and an amazing weekend
Dream Card
I would say Philo, years ago when he was in town he came to Englewood league and someone got to pair with him, and I would have loved that. Great personality
